Testimonials Pass, box out and help on defense. If you know how to do those things, you will always find a place to play. That's what my grandson has gotten from ABA coaching. The drills are fun, the coaches are supportive and the kids come out of the experience with a love of the game. What more can you ask for?
Mike Hodnett, ABA Grandparent and Basketball Enthusiast The extra skills practice our son gained by training with ABA gave our son the necessary skills to excel in the game. The coaches were excellent, and we really appreciated how they encouraged our son's competitive spirit! Shooting class was the best!
Viktoria Jovanovic-Krstic, ABA Parent ABA gave me the opportunity to grow both on and off the court. As a player, I developed my skills and deepened my love for the game, which enabled me to play varsity basketball. As a coach, I built leadership and teamwork skills that I continue to use every day. I am truly grateful and proud to be part of the ABA family.
Daouli Lengema, St. FX University Varsity X-Men alumni, former ABA player, ABA MOP, and ABA Coach ABA taught my daughter more than just excellent basketball skills - they taught her sportsmanship and gave her a community. Every member of the ABA organization from top to bottom is an excellent role model. These are the people you want teaching your kids.
Mark Hodnett, ABA Parent What we love about ABA that has kept us coming back every session for 10 years, is how the coaches keep it fun! They instill confidence and a love of the game with a healthy level of competition and focus on sportsmanship. The coaches genuinely care for all the kids!
Brenda Little, mother of two ABA players Many years after Becky had finished playing at the ABA, I called Sean to ask if he had any photos. I really didn’t expect any. A bit later, having searched through years of photos, he sent me wonderful pictures of ‘Becky in action’. I loved them, and so did Becky, my now grown daughter. That says it all. Besides being an exceptionally knowledgeable coach and wonderful role model and leader of the ABA, he is also such a kind and generous person.
Don Jones, Dad of Becky Jones I would also like to say that I am very impressed with the ABA League. It is so well organized and all the coaches and staff are great and the quality of the drills and games are perfect for this group of kids. Thank you for the great work all of you do. We hope to be part of the ABA for years to come.
Steve Arroyave, ABA Parent I was one of the first players in the inaugural ABA league in 2003 and I’ve been connected ever since. Coach Loucks and his staff helped me to develop as a player. As a coach, it was a pleasure to join the team and offer the best program we could, focusing on skill development, fun, and teaching key principles like teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship. Every time I visit ABA , I see it’s the same top-notch program which continues to evolve and improve. As a former college basketball player, UCC Sr. Basketball Camp director, and TDSB teacher, I can vouch for the ABA providing a premier quality service and experience to its players, campers, and staff.
Simon McCamus, ABA Alumni As one of the original members of the ABA league, watching the league grow over the years has been a true joy. Saturday mornings at the gym were always a mainstay for myself and my siblings. We learned so much about the game, as well as many life lessons that can be applied off the court.
Cam MacNicol, ABA Alumni Our girls joined ABA when they were 8, and have been playing in various combinations of the Tues, Thurs, and Sat programs and several summer and March break camps for the last 7 years. They’ve loved every second of it - the perfect blend of fun, skills development, and healthy competition. The coaches are high-energy, knowledgeable, attentive, and inclusive. We looked into girls-only programs, but just never came across anything with the same sensibility and structure as ABA.
