Testimonials The ABA has given our son, Hartford, an opportunity to play the game he loves in an organized and competitive environment. However, the competition is rooted in fairness, sportsmanship and learning sound basketball skills. We always look forward to ABA!
Moe Berg, ABA Parent ABA gave me the opportunity to grow both on and off the court. As a player, I developed my skills and deepened my love for the game, which enabled me to play varsity basketball. As a coach, I built leadership and teamwork skills that I continue to use every day. I am truly grateful and proud to be part of the ABA family.
Daouli Lengema, St. FX University Varsity X-Men alumni, former ABA player, ABA MOP, and ABA Coach Tailored skills development; inclusive teamwork and play; empathetic coaching; the leadership integrity of Coach Loucks & his team…these are among the key and consistent features of a wonderful program that enables participants to grow, to compete with confidence, and to learn true sportsmanship.
Ken Peel, ABA Parent and Supporter The extra skills practice our son gained by training with ABA gave our son the necessary skills to excel in the game. The coaches were excellent, and we really appreciated how they encouraged our son's competitive spirit! Shooting class was the best!
Viktoria Jovanovic-Krstic, ABA Parent The ABA is a terrific basketball program, teaching kids the fundamentals of basketball and making it a fun experience for all. But what I admire most about the program is that the coaches are some of the best leaders I've ever come across, emphasizing that the best players are also the best teammates and the best humans. The lessons my kid will take away extend far beyond basketball.
Stephanie Hodnett, mother of Owen Hodnett I was one of the first players in the inaugural ABA league in 2003 and I’ve been connected ever since. Coach Loucks and his staff helped me to develop as a player. As a coach, it was a pleasure to join the team and offer the best program we could, focusing on skill development, fun, and teaching key principles like teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship. Every time I visit ABA , I see it’s the same top-notch program which continues to evolve and improve. As a former college basketball player, UCC Sr. Basketball Camp director, and TDSB teacher, I can vouch for the ABA providing a premier quality service and experience to its players, campers, and staff.
Simon McCamus, ABA Alumni My son played, coached, toured and taught with ABA. He had great opportunities to develop his basketball and leadership skills.
What I feel was the most valuable skill, the most compelling reason to have him involved, was that there was a respect and concern
that was equal for each player and member of ABA no matter what age or position they held - average or awesome.
Rosemary Sadlier, ABA Parent and Supporter We have been part of the ABA family for over 10 years with both our daughter and son. What began with Saturday morning programs expanded to include summer camps, 3x3 leagues, high school workouts and culminated in our son playing rep for the Knights! All of the programs are very well-run and the coaching staff is amazing! Their enthusiasm and knowledge of basketball inspires the kids to improve their skills and compete while respecting the game and all participants.
Jeff W & Joanne D, ABA Parents The opportunities that I have been able to be a part of because of Coach Loucks and ABA are actually beyond words. I cant thank them enough for bringing me in and making me feel like family. Through the program and the people involved I grew not only as a basketball player but also as a man, looking forward to the continued work and the bright future that they provide at ABA. #gamecocksforlife
David McCormack Many years after Becky had finished playing at the ABA, I called Sean to ask if he had any photos. I really didn’t expect any. A bit later, having searched through years of photos, he sent me wonderful pictures of ‘Becky in action’. I loved them, and so did Becky, my now grown daughter. That says it all. Besides being an exceptionally knowledgeable coach and wonderful role model and leader of the ABA, he is also such a kind and generous person.
