Testimonials The ABA is where teammates become friends, coaches become mentors, and basketball becomes family. I spent more than a decade in ABA programs through my formative years and my only regret is that I did not sign up sooner. I still proudly wear my ABA shirts from various seasons. Much love!
Alex Antunes, ABA Alumni What we love about ABA that has kept us coming back every session for 10 years, is how the coaches keep it fun! They instill confidence and a love of the game with a healthy level of competition and focus on sportsmanship. The coaches genuinely care for all the kids!
Brenda Little, mother of two ABA players The ABA has given our son, Hartford, an opportunity to play the game he loves in an organized and competitive environment. However, the competition is rooted in fairness, sportsmanship and learning sound basketball skills. We always look forward to ABA!
Moe Berg, ABA Parent My son loves ABA! He likes the variety of formats and says the coaches are great. As a parent, I appreciate that the ABA program is well-run, available throughout the year, and great value.
Kathleen Niccols, ABA Parent ABA is such a wonderful sports program - my son has had a great time in it over many years, the summer camp as well! The coaches are so supportive and fun, we highly recommend ABA!!
Roberta Scott, ABA Parent As one of the original members of the ABA league, watching the league grow over the years has been a true joy. Saturday mornings at the gym were always a mainstay for myself and my siblings. We learned so much about the game, as well as many life lessons that can be applied off the court.
Cam MacNicol, ABA Alumni The coaches' basketball knowledge and intensity create a fun atmosphere where the kids want to learn, compete and excel year after year.
Noah Rotman, former ABA Parent I was one of the first players in the inaugural ABA league in 2003 and I’ve been connected ever since. Coach Loucks and his staff helped me to develop as a player. As a coach, it was a pleasure to join the team and offer the best program we could, focusing on skill development, fun, and teaching key principles like teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship. Every time I visit ABA , I see it’s the same top-notch program which continues to evolve and improve. As a former college basketball player, UCC Sr. Basketball Camp director, and TDSB teacher, I can vouch for the ABA providing a premier quality service and experience to its players, campers, and staff.
Simon McCamus, ABA Alumni ABA was a great experience for my son when he was introduced to Coach Loucks almost 10 years ago. Not only were there clinics, house league and training sessions to join but there were other opportunities to participate in, the Gamecocks tournament, playing on the Raptors home court, volunteer opportunities and a trip to Europe to name a few. My son learned incredibly valuable skills both on and off the court. Coach Loucks is not only a great coach but a very kind person and it shows in his leadership as well as with the staff and volunteers that work with him.
Peggy Tsukamoto, mother of former ABA player ABA should actually stand for “Awesome Basketball Always”! The coaching staff, lead by Sean is fantastic. They are skilled, encouraging and know how to balance some healthy competition with the right amount of fun. Athletes of all levels are challenged appropriately and learn that trying their best is what matters. ABA is a wonderful environment all round.
Lhara Eben, ABA Parent
